My day rate for carving demonstrations is £400 plus 25p per mile, which allows up to 6 hours carving time with short breaks at various intervals during the day.
Clients Responsibilities:
The client is usually responsible for supplying appropriate timber for carving (please ask for advice on what or where from). I may bring examples of work to display for promotional and sale purposes. I reserve the right to offer these for sale to any interested party, or to take orders for these items.
Vehicular access is important to the smooth running of a carving demonstration, as equipment is often heavy and cannot be carried long distances.
Placement of a chainsaw carving stand at an event is critical as the noise levels are high. Please ask for details on legal issues concerning distance between the carver and the public or other stands.
